Colchester Travel Ltd trading as Airfares.co.uk Generally, the more flexible the ticket the more expensive it is likely to be and you need to take several matters into consideration before deciding between the fares on offer. We hope you will find it useful to be aware of our general booking conditions which are listed below. Please read them. Fares Options No options are given on these fares. To avoid unnecessary demand on airline systems we only accept confirmed reservations
Please be aware that certain airlines do not maintain "real time" seat availability in Galileo, the airline reservations system to which we connect. Whilst every effort is made to reflect the true situation, instances may occur when airlines reject sales. Airfares.co.uk will contact you as soon as possible if this is the case and will do all they can to reinstate your booking. If this is not possible an alternative flight may be offered at a different fare. Where credit card details are provided for a valid booking (with Galileo reference) it is assumed that the reservation is correct and the booking will be processed with the details supplied. Cancellation charges will apply for alterations.
All tickets purchased within 14 days of travel will incur an additional
£5 Royal Mail Special delivery charge (UK Mainland) where a ticket
on departure (or e-ticket) cannot be arranged free of charge. Credit cards will be charged at 1.85% to cover the cost of charges made to us. American Express cards will be charged at 2.25%. Visa Electron and Diners cards are not accepted as means of payment. Tickets will be despatched to the billing address of the credit card in accordance with the credit card processing company rules.
All onward and return flights must be reconfirmed with the relevant airlines at least 72 hours prior to the commencement of that leg of the journey unless specifically informed otherwise by that airline. Airfares.co.uk accepts no responsibility for bookings cancelled due to non compliance with the particular airlines rules. We also take no responsibility for any flight rescheduling enroute. Unless we advise you to reconfirm the first flight out of the U.K there is no need to do so. Passports/Visas/Health Requirements We are very happy to inform you of current documentation requirements if you so require. It is incumbent upon you to ensure that you meet the passport, visa, health requirements of the countries you wish to visit and those that you transit(even if it is for a plane change). Many countries require that your passport should be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of arrival into that country. We accept no responsibility if you should be denied boarding or deported due to non fulfilment of the above. Insurance We strongly urge you to carry appropriate travel insurance to cover you for cancellation, health, baggage etc. We are happy to quote you for this. Airline regulations/conditions of carriage Please note that in all transactions we act as agents of the airlines you have booked on. Please read your ticket jacket for their conditions of carriage. Cancellation Please note that once you confirm a booking with us there will be a charge to cancel the same. This would vary from a minimum £15(GBP) to the full value of the ticket(100%). Rules of the ticket are available on request. Generally a 100% cancellation charge will apply for bookings that have been ticketed. If you are holding a booking for which a ticket has been arranged and do not notify us in writing of your desire to cancel this will be treated as a no show and could result in you losing all that you paid. Amendments Some confirmed bookings allow you to change the dates of travel. Some are free and for some there is a charge. This is in the rules (which are available on request). Please be aware that many special fares do not allow a change of reservation. Thus if you had to change you would have to cancel(paying the appropriate cancellation charge) and rebook.
Airline tickets are not transferable under any circumstances. Name changes are not allowed on a booking even if the ticket is not yet issued. Name changes are treated as cancellations. Refunds If you want to cancel your journey it is important that you notify us in writing with utmost urgency. This enables us to cancel your reservation with the airline. If you already have your ticket please submit it to us. On receipt of the ticket we will send you an acknowledgement and submit your ticket to the airline for refund. Refunds if due usually take 8-13 weeks. We will forward the refund to you less any cancellation charges due. Please note that most airlines do not refund on part used tickets. Tickets which are returned more than 1 year from date of issue are classified as expired tickets and have no refund value. Lost Tickets If you lose your tickets, it may be possible to re-issue them for a fee. The amount payable will depend on the circumstances of the loss and how close to the travel date you discover it. However, not all tickets are re-issuable; which is another good reason for ensuring you have sufficient insurance cover. Tickets will be despatched to you in accordance with your instructions and we accept no responsibility for their delivery. Car hire Bookings made through our website Please note that we act as agents for the car hire providers. We do not debit your card at the time of booking the details are available to the service provider, who may take a deposit. Cancellation fees will apply unless optional cancellation protection is purchased, according to the terms and conditions of the provider. If you no longer require the reservation, please contact the service provider to cancel to avoid such cancellation charges.
